Food banks provide necessary critical help for those in emergency situations and sustained financial hardship. Easy access to food can provide stress relief and allow families to progress past survival mode and begin the transition to prosperity. Even in this wonderful country we live in, thousands go hungry every night.
Our support — and in some cases the establishment — of food banks is a crucial piece of our work. We partner with local grocers, growers, ranchers and other agricultural and food distribution to cover shortages in the short-term. To be sustainable, community gardens, farms and even micro ranches can help these food banks become self-sufficient and provide unity within the community as everyone not only gives of means but of their most precious commodity: time.
